G-Cubes sailed on the yacht O’Deline (Beneteau Oceanis 473 CP, 2005) with the WARC to Lombok. The way across Asia and the Arabic Sea to Muscat, Oman was sailed on our own. We re-joined the WARC in Mauritius. Because of the Covid 19 Virus we are stucked in Grenada. The decision if G-Cubes comes back to Marseille this year will be taken mid May.

Like Boyan Zlat and other environmental organisations, the association G-Cubes is committed to the cleaning of the oceans. With the project we want to make a contribution, which promotes a solution to the global waste problem. The possibilities to mobilise the world population to such measures are far from exhausted. To get the problem under control, more than just awareness is needed. It takes money to deal with such an economic and environmental challenge. G-Cubes bridges art and ecology. We want to raise money through art, then use those funds to promote projects which conduct a sustainable long- term waste management.
G-Cubes is also a great adventure. We sailed from Marseille (September 2017) around the world first crossing the Atlantic to the Caribean (see track above). Now we are, 30'000 nautical miles later, back in the Caribean.
Now the adventure get's more and more existencial because of the Covid 19 virus.
O'Deline brought us to a lot of lonesome islands and made a quite dynamic evolution. Meantime there is a bunch of schools and societies helping to produce G-Cubes. Our goal now is, to deliver to these remote places the tools to fight against maritime pollution. The small islands are the only natural filter, that takes out plastic of the oceans day by day. Even if all production of plastic would be prohibited now - which is impossible - the next four or five generations will still have to clean their beaches. Help them to do so.
Have a look to our archive to know more about our engagement.
